Notes-N-News

Good afternoon! Remember to “Spring Forward” Saturday night so you’re not late for church Sunday 13th !

++ Blessings and safe travel to the women attending the spring retreat at Mt. Angel this weekend!

++ Lent study continues this evening with soup and study beginning at 6:00pm. Kalama Reuter is going to be a guest presenter for our Islam class on Sunday 13th at 8am and on Wednesday 16th at 6:00pm. These are the last days for the study.

++ Photographs for our Church Directory    Easter Sunday—starting at 8:30am and through the Easter Breakfast time, Gordon Leigh’s Positive Negatives will be taking pictures for the church directory. This is a no cost service, so come dressed for Easter and your pictures! If you would like prints for yourself, price information will be available for that additional service. Come and enjoy the services, the breakfast, and let’s get as many photos done as possible for our new directory.  —-Rick McBee

++ FISH garden update from Susan Randolph: “Right now, I am seeking out a few people to assist with starting seeds, so if you have a nice warm, sunny place in your home and would like to take care of some baby plants for a few weeks, that would help a lot! Also, we could definitely use more seed trays and flats if anyone’s got extra.” Email Susan at surandolph22@gmail.com or contact the office.

++ Memorial Day Family Camp  Melissa and Pastor David are leading Family Camp at Camp Magruder on the Oregon coast, May 27-30, and we’d like to make a special invitation to our Asbury Our Redeemer family to join us. Find more information and register at www.gocamping.org .

++ Friends of Kozen Sampson.  Kozen Sampson, a 66 yr old Buddhist monk who founded the Mt. Adams Zen Buddhist Temple at Trout Lake Abbey, was assaulted on Feb 29th for being a Muslim. A candlelight vigil will take place this Friday 11th at 6:30pm “to support his belief in loving kindness.” Kozen will attend the vigil at Overlook Memorial Fountain (where the town Christmas tree was this past December).

Blessings,
