–As our 5th Sunday Giving, special offerings can be made out to AORP for “Hurricane Relief.” (Donations will be divided equally between UMCOR and Lutheran World Relief).
–During announcements there will be a presentation from Gideon International about their mission.

++  Remember to fill out the Reception Ministry slip or see a member of the committee if you would like to help with the social activities of our congregation. Jill McBee and Pat Crompton are the co-chairs.

++  This Sunday you can sign-up to help with Coffee Hour during 2017. There are more details in the bulletin. See Kris White if you have any questions.

++  Women’s Spirituality meets Saturday Nov 5th at the church office.

++  All are invited this Sunday to a Family Fifth Youth Group activity. 6:00pm until 7:30pm in the FISH Community Room (enter between our two buildings). There will be Candy making and games! Come have fun and bring a friend if you like!

++  Hood River Warming Shelter Volunteer Training Tonight October 26, 6-9:00pm at Hood River Valley Christian Church
Hood River Warming Shelter offers this training opportunity for those who wish to help at the local shelter during winter months. Andy Wade, volunteer coordinator and Lorena Ruiz-Gonzalez, guest service coordinator, will conduct the training. If you are a returning volunteer, you do not need to update your training unless you would like a refresher.

++  Hood River Valley Christian Church is having a “Christmas Décor & More” shopping weekend. Gently used decorations, wreaths, Santa’s, snowmen, angels, candles, apparel & much more. Proceeds support HRVCC Women’s Ministries.  Saturday Nov 5thfrom 8am to 3pm and Sunday Nov 6th from Noon to 3pm.

++  Helping Hands Against Violence     Auction Gala, Saturday Nov 5th from 6-9pm at the Elks Lodge, 304 Cascade Ave, Hood River. Free Admission. Featuring Aniche Cellars, Double Mountain Beers, Hearty Appetizers, and Music by Kevin Holman. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit to serve survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and, Office 541-386-4808.
