Pastor Miranda Bermes-Goller

Pastor Miranda graduated from Luther Seminary and moved St Paul, MN to Hood River at the beginning of August 2021 to start her ministry with Spirit of Grace. Originally from the south suburbs of Chicago, Miranda fell in love with the Pacific Northwest during her 14 months volunteering at Holden Village after graduating from Valparaiso University with a double major in Theology and Global Service in 2016. After 4 years of seminary in the Twin Cities, she is thrilled to return to the PNW with her wife, Jenni.

Pastor Miranda has been discerning a call to ministry for over a decade, and is thrilled to be living out this next chapter in that journey. As a beloved child of the Triune God, Pastor Miranda believes that she is called to serve and be in relationship with God’s people by abiding with those in pain, advocating for the oppressed, preaching words of gospel and truth, and walking through difficult questions that arise by engaging in intentional and loving conversation in community with one another. She looks forward to entering into a partnership of ministry with all who are willing.

In her spare time, Pastor Miranda loves spending time with her wife and their three cats: Louie, Winifred, and Morticia. Baking is one of her favorite hobbies – be sure to ask her about her latest baking creation! She also enjoys going for early morning walks, starting her days with yoga and meditation, and spending time outside in God’s beautiful creation. She and Jenni already feel to at home in the Spirit of Grace family, and can’t wait to learn more about all of you!
